U3A Keeps the Grey Matter Moving

Opportunities to keep learning in life are in abundance at the University of the Third Age, Mornington. If you are aged 55 plus and have a burning desire to study in 2014, you can become a member on payment of a $70 membership fee. This will entitle you to enrol in up to four courses on enrolment days on 4th and 5th December 2013. Further opportunities will follow.
U3A is a not for profit organisation and is run purely by volunteers. It was founded in France in 1972, and the first U3A in Australia was established in Melbourne in 1984. The news has spread and there are now over 100 campuses Victoria-wide, with the Mornington campus opening its doors in 1990.
The courses available at U3A Mornington include Languages, Art & Craft, Computers, Opera and Ballet Appreciation, Choir, Piano and Organ, Book Groups, Social Games, Philosophy, Meditation, Bush Walking, Tai Chi, Yoga, Petanque – and many more.
So if you would like to work at exercising your grey matter, meet new people and make friends, look into what is being offered at U3A Mornington.
For information about how to enrol for 2014 (which can be done on-line), check the website in November.
